Darekon has published its first sustainability report in accordance with the ESRS standard. The aim of this report is to increase the transparency of our operations and support our own strategic decision-making, our customers and personnel. We have previously conducted environmental reporting for various stakeholders both internally and externally.
The sustainability reporting builds on our strategic objective to strengthen sustainability’s role as part of management and daily operations. Sustainability has always been a key factor in Darekon’s operations. We have applied the ISO 14001 environmental management system for over a decade and built its operations around the ISO 9001 quality standard and the ISO 13485 standard.
What does the report include?
Darekon’s report focuses on three key themes identified through our double materiality assessment. The analysis highlighted the topics most relevant to both our business and stakeholders.
- Climate Change (E1)
The report describes Darekon’s energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1–3), and plans and targets for achieving its climate goals, the most important being a 20% reduction in the Group’s operational carbon footprint by 2030. - Own Workforce (S1)
This section highlights employee well-being, development of occupational know-how, safety, and equal treatment. The report presents several actions and improvements made, including a reduced pay gap compared to the baseline year (2024). - Good Governance (G1)
This section outlines Darekon’s ethical operating principles and responsible procurement practices. The Group continues to develop its strong, unified company culture through employee training and shared ways of working.
Towards a more systematic sustainability management
Through sustainability reporting, we have defined several development steps to advance sustainability work across the entire organization.
This reporting period marks the integration of sustainability into the management system and the Group’s strategy. We run a profitable business with a committed workforce and aim to leverage the opportunities of the green transition. During this reporting period, we also implemented a GHG calculation system that includes Scope 3 emissions. Additionally, we can provide product-specific carbon footprint reporting to our customers.
The sustainability report offers a comprehensive picture of the current state of Darekon’s sustainability work and areas for further development. It also serves as a foundation for future actions and decision-making.
